Directions

  1. Combine apples, sugar, water, lemon zest, lemon juice, ginger, salt and cayenne pepper in medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat until apples are softened but still keep their shape, about 20 min. Remove from heat; let stand to cool. Stir in pistachios.

  2. Ladle chutney into re-sealable containers such as small Mason jars and refrigerate for up to one week.
